Ford Motor Company today announced that the new Mustang will be previewed at Publika in Solaris Dutamas from March 11-15, ahead of its official arrival in showrooms nationwide by December.
The event marks the first time that the next-generation of this iconic Ford vehicle will be on display in Malaysia.
To mark its 50th anniversary of continuous production, the all-American sports car is going global, with Malaysia being one of a select number of right-hand drive markets to receive the new Mustang. This means Malaysians will soon be able to buy their own slice of automotive heritage for the first time.
Mustang will be offered in Malaysia in both a fastback and convertible, and with a choice of a 5.0-litre V8, producing 435 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque, or a turbocharged, fuel-efficient 2.3-litre EcoBoost® engine, producing 310 horsepower.
Mustang is one of the world’s most popular cars, with more than nine million units sold. It truly revolutionised the segment of sports cars with its unique combination of distinguished design, high performance and cost affordability.
